Application Form

The application forms are generally issued through the Bank attached to the School. The details will be made available in the major newspapers in Bangalore at the appropriate time. Application forms for LKG were issued in Feb 2004 for 2004-05. (In the past the same were issued during October month of previous year!). Hence , we request Parents willing to admit their children to be in touch with the school once in Oct and then in Feb ,for LKG. For UKG- Std X, contact the school during Feb-March. For Std XI & XII, contact the school after the Std X results are declared.

Academic Terms

There are three terms in each academic year.

In October there will be a short vacation of about two weeks.

The Christmas holidays will be of two to three weeks duration from the third week of December to the first week of January.

The Summer holidays will be for about seven weeks, from the first week of April till the end of May or beginning of June.

INTRODUCTION

The Indian School Certificate Course (ISC-12 year) is a two-year course after ten years of schooling. Students will appear for the ISC - 12 year Examination conducted by the ISC council, New Delhi, at the end of Std.XII.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. (a) Candidates who have been awarded a Pass Certificate in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) at the end of Std. X, with passes in five subjects including English and a Second Language are eligible for admission into Std.XI.
    (b) Candidates who have been awarded a Pass Certificate in the ICSE Examination, but have failed in the Second Language will be admitted into Std.XI provisionally and will be required to pass in the Second Language of the ICSE Examination at the end of Std. XI before being declared eligible for promotion to Std. XII.

  2. (a) Candidates who have passed equivalent examinations will be admitted provisionally into Std. X,. provided they have been awarded a Pass Certificate in five written subjects including English and a Second Language, taken at one and the same sitting, subject to the approval of the ISC Council, New Delhi. Such admissions will be confirmed only after receipt of the Eligibility Certificate from the ISC Council.
    (b) Candidates who have been awarded a Pass Certificate in equivalent examination conducted by other Examination Boards in five subjects, but have failed or not appeared for a Second Language, must pass in a Second Language of the ICSE (Year-10) Examination at the end of Std.XI before being declared eligible for promotion to Std. XII and the elgibility Certificate will only be issued after passing in the Second Language.

Candidates are permitted to take a maximum of five/six subjects, including English. The following subjects are offered :
Part I (External Examination)

  1. Compulsory Subjects :- English
  2. Second Language :- Hindi/ Kannada
    Tamil/ Malayalam/ French/ Telugu/ Nepalee (on extra payment)
  3. Science :- Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics and Computer Science or Biology or Economics
    Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ and Mathematics or Computer Science or Home Science or Economics.
  4. Arts :- History/ Political Science/ Economics/ English Literature/ Geography/ Home Science
  5. Commerce :- Commerce/ Accounts/ Mathematics/ Geography, Political Science and Computer Science, Economics/ Home Science.

Part II (Internal Examination)

Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

The ISC Course is under the School System and as such the School Calendar will be followed for all the functions. The daily routine followed by the School will also be adopted.

The following regulations have been prescribed :

  1. All students are expected to be punctual and regular in their attendance at the lectures. Students must stay within the School campus until they finish all their classes during the morning or the afternoon session. They are not permitted to leave the School campus during the 'free' hour between periods without permission from the Principal.

  2. If a student has been absent from the School for an unforeseen reason, on returning she must bring a letter of explanation from the parent or guardian. If a student has been ill, a medical certificate must be attached along with the leave application.

  3. Leave of absence from the School for marriage and other foreseeable functions must be applied for in advance. General and vague reasons such as "unavoidable circumstances" or "some ceremony" etc., will not be accepted.

  4. Students who are absent from classes for ten days or more at a stretch without leave will be assumed to have left the course and their names will be removed from the rolls. Such students may be considered for re-admission provided that they satisfy the administration the reasons for such absence have been valid and fulfill the formalities of fees, etc.

  5. A student will be eligible for the final examination only if she has fulfilled the attendance requirement and her conduct and progress have been satisfactory.

  6. Regular prescribed uniform must be worn.
  7. A Calendar month's notice or a month's fee in lieu of such notice must be given before a pupil can be withdrawn. If a pupil is withdrawn in the middle of the term, the fees for the whole term must be paid.

  8. Transfer Certificates will not be issued until all dues to the School are paid.
